My Interests

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” – Mahatma Gandhi

I’ve always felt a strong urge to contribute to my community in meaningful ways. I feel that the need for social service is immense, and its impact on the community is profound. Volunteering and engaging in community service not only provide immediate support and education to those in need but also foster a sense of unity and mutual support within the community. These activities help bridge gaps, reduce inequalities, and build a stronger, more cohesive society. For individuals, social service offers invaluable experiences that develop empathy, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by others.

“A different language is a different vision of life.” – Federico Fellini

This insightful quote by Federico Fellini perfectly encapsulates my passion for learning new languages. For me, languages are more than just a means of communication—they are windows into different ways of thinking and living. My journey into the world of languages began with a unique and unexpected catalyst: football.

Watching football press conferences conducted in Spanish sparked my curiosity and fascination with the language. I decided to embark on the exciting journey of learning Spanish. Through dedicated study and practice, I have achieved a B2 level proficiency.

Driven by a desire to explore more linguistic landscapes, I ventured into learning Russian, reaching an A2 level proficiency.

Today, I am proud to say that I can communicate in five languages: Hindi, English, Gujarati, Spanish, and Russian.

I used Language knowledge of mine to write Blogs in Spanish on my blog website (www.dhyeymehta.in). My blog-work has been viewed by several people from various Spanish speaking countries like Spain, Venezuela and Ecuador. Through my blog and personal interactions, I strive to inspire others to embrace the joys of language learning.

“Quizzing is the art of curiosity; it transforms knowledge into a thrilling journey of discovery and connection.”

In 2020, I took part in the 2nd edition of the Indianicca Quiz League (IQL). This quiz was hosted by “Father of Indian Television Quizzing”, Siddhartha Basu. 10,000 students from across India participated in this quiz. After multiple rounds of intense quizzing, we were crowned as the National Champions. We were awarded a cash prize of 100,000 INR. All these rounds were uploaded on IQL’s Youtube Channel, where it received 300,000+ views.

In 2021, I participated in the All India Global Jigyasa Quiz (AIGJQ). This Quiz witnessed participation from 1500+ students belonging to over 215 schools and 45 cities across India. The rounds were streamed live on SkillSphere Education’s Facebook page and were viewed by over 50,000 individuals. At the end of many rigorous rounds of quizzing, I was crowned the National Champion of the Inaugural Edition of the AIGJQ.

In 2022, I participated in Dug Out – Sports Quiz. This was one of many events in CASCADE – India’s largest Inter School Competition. After multiple rounds, I was declared the winner of this quiz.

“Entrepreneurship is about turning what excites you in life into capital, so that you can do more of it and move forward with it.” – Richard Branson

My journey into the world of entrepreneurship began with a fascination that grew while watching Shark Tank India. This show ignited a spark within me, showcasing the dynamic and innovative world of startups and business ventures.

In the same year, my burgeoning interest led me to participate in the National Entrepreneurship Olympiad Eureka Junior 2020, conducted by IIT Bombay. I was awarded the Certificate of Excellence, solidifying my interest in entrepreneurship.

I participated in the  National Entrepreneurship Olympiad 2022, organized by NIT Nagpur. The first round focused on the theoretical aspect of entrepreneurship, while the second round required us to develop and present five business ideas. We were also invited to attend seminars delivered by the best entrepreneurs in the country. We got to listen to their journey from a first person perspective. Combining my performance in both rounds, I emerged as one of the top 10 students in India.

“Leadership is not about being in charge. It is about taking care of those in your charge.” – Simon Sinek

“Sports does not build character, it reveals it”

My favorite sport to play and watch is Football. I have loved this sport since a very young age. I play football as a goalkeeper for both my school team and for my local club, Palava FC. I have participated in various tournaments at the U12, U14 and U16 levels. I have won various Inter-school events, club tournaments, district championships and also reached the final stages of Mumbai’s biggest sports tournament, Mumbai Games.
